Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul, a one-time Libertarian party candidate for president, posted a record $4.2 million in online contributions on Monday.
Paul, the only GOP candidate to oppose the Iraq war, has outraised a number of Republican hopefuls in Orange County, including San Diego Rep. Duncan Hunter, who had gotten $30,000 in contributions from OC donors as of the October Federal Elections Commission report. Paul reported receiving $65,905 in donations from the OC. The Texas congressman ranked ninth among the 20 candidates in contributions from Orange County donors.

Paul says on his web site that he needs $12 million to win the Republican nomination, a claim the front-runners in the race may take issue with. Click here to go to Paul’s site.
Paul Monday deposed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as the one-day online fundraising maven. Romney raised $3.1 million on Jan. 8.
Paul’s fundraising director Jonathan Bydlak told the Associated Press Monday night that the $4.2 million represented contributions from more than 37,000 donors.

Ron Paul’s campaign may be a once in a life time opportunity to put our country back on its foundation of Constitutionally limited government. Since Nixon’s presidency, every Republican president has increased federal regulations at a more rapid rate than Democratic presidents have. Our nation has the second highest corporate income tax rates in the industrialized world and Japan will be lowering their’s soon so we will be at the top of the tax list. That is wrong. Come out this Saturday to take a stand and join the Ron Paul Revolution.

This is the address to the Home Depot right at the corner of El Toro Rd and Rockfield Blvd (this area has tons of new shops and restaurants). Home Depot has a huge parking lot and everyone can park right in there. We will meet right at that corner where you will see that there is a very nice little grassy area with a gazebo and a sign that says “The Arbor”. We are planning on being there from 11am-3pm.
See you there!
