Do it again. OC Political Pulse respondents want new Democratic primaries in Florida and Michigan — and they want either the Democratic National Committee or the states to pay for it.
The Democrats are in this fix because both states held primaries before the Feb. 5 deadline set by the Democratic National Committee.
Of the 168 people who voted in the unscientific Pulse poll, 52 want the DNC to pay and 44 say it should be the states. And not surprisingly, 52.8 percent of Republicans would rather see the DNC spend some of its money for the do overs. That means less money Democrats have to spend to challenge the GOP presumptive nominee John McCain. Among independents, 42.1 percent want the DNC to pay while 31.6 percent want the states to pony up the estimated $30 million it would cost for two new primaries.
